MyPhoneExplorer v1.6.7 was in general not compatible with the C905, please download and install v1.7.2 . If you have still crashs with v1.7.2 then post the logfile again after crash.

OK, installed new version again and tried a photo upload and updated a contact. Everything working as it should. Weird. I did have other issues on my works PC too.

I took a look at my changelog. The C905 requires at minimum MyPhoneExplorer v1.7.1 - maybe you had installed v1.7.0.

I dont know what I clicked to download, I think i maybe have the old version on my works PC too. Im sure it was the last one you released.

Hi!

I just downloaded your program (which I have looked all over the net for - it is a great idea!!) and wanted to ask why my version also keeps crashing.

The problem for me is that I cannot seem to open MPE most of the time; the main window will show up but then the whole thing disappears within 2 seconds. I then get an error message telling me to end the program.

The one time I managed to sync was straight after I installed the program for the first time. But even then it only got through phone contacts before crashing on me. I have since uninstalled/reinstalled several times with no luck!! I am fairly certain it is not a connection problem because I was able to connect phone to PC when the program did not crash. It is kind of frustrating because this is such a fabulous program and would be really useful if it would work!!

My problem is the same as this Guest mate. The MPE is shortly closed and when i startup it, and give me a 'MyPhoneExplorer has stopped working' error. But at the first several times it's launch ok after i reinstall it.

The DBCS-Mode is also the problem on your PC. You can change this settings in control panel->regional settings. change the system-chrset to english (PC-Restart is needed)

Hi! Thanks for all the work and this great software!
A few days ago it started crashing... At the beginning when I tried to sync any mms, but today it just crashed just trying to open it...
A had the 1.7 installed, and after the crashing, installed the new version and it's the same...
I have a W610 and I use Vista.

And also when it tries to start takes a lot of resources from the CPU (40-50) and around 50.000 K. Don't know if you can decipher that...

The theoretically limit is something about 32.700 items (integer overflow). But normally MPE will crash also on writing 32.700 items. So i don't think that its possible to have too much messages in the archive-file.

Could you send me the file %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\<profilefolder>\SMSArchive.dat zipped via email so i can take a look at it ?

If yoou want just to use MPE again then you could move this file to another location but this does not fix the original probglem.
