After years of use on my Galaxy S7 I'm trying to use MPE on my S21 FE. I was prompted to install newest version, which I did, including making a PayPal donation.

Although I just want to upload a few photos, MPE insists on syncing all files which I assume means all files on the phone... big job ...

Google Play Store is not on the previously owned Galaxy S phone I just bought. Haven't yet found a way to install it. The problem is when I try to download MPE client it tries to do so through Play Store which doesn't work.

So, can I download MPE directly from FJ Software or another online store?

IMHO the best way is to use Outlook to sync both phones, not sync the phones with each other. I use Outlook 2010 and did the same thing as you but my wife didn't want all of my contacts. I'm and Outlook user so I use MPE to synch my Galaxy Fascinate with Outlook. My wife now has the same phone and I'd like to transfer some of my contacts to her phone. What's the easiest way to do this?

If the problem is back again: Delete the user profile in MyPhoneExplorer and recreate it. MyPhoneExplorer does save the used Outlook profile and maybe cause of this the wrong Outlook profile was synced

Spoke too soon. After running the .pst file through scanpst I imported it into Outlook. I then launched the client on phone and ran MPE and tried a Calendar synch. No more "Loading entries from Outlook failed" message. HOWEVER, I found that that the new phone entries were not showing up in Outlook ...

Problem solved. After a bit of Googling and dodging traps for all sorts of unwanted downloads I found a mention of scanpst.exe, an MS tool for fixing Outlook pst files that comes with Office. It takes a bit of searching but it was on my machine. Took quite a while, but it found and fixed the problem ...

It does not mean anything goes through gmail, just that that is the calendar/contacts storage area used on the phone. Now you can set the phone up (settings/accounts etc) so that your 'google' account also syncs with the "cloud" - you'd need to set it up on the web like this also.
