Transfering contacts
I'm and Outlook user so I use MPE to synch my Galaxy Fascinate with Outlook. My wife now has the same phone and I'd like to transfer some of my contacts to her phone. What's the easiest way to do this?

IMHO the best way is to use Outlook to sync both phones, not sync the phones with each other. I use Outlook 2010 and did the same thing as you but my wife didn't want all of my contacts. I just created some contacts sub-folders and then within MPE settings chose the relevent folder(s) depending on which phone I was connecting. The phones will be seen as seperate 'users' so you just need to do this setup once. I had all 'common' contacts in the main Contacts folder (basically my wifes contacts) then the ones only I had (useful ones like local garage, motorcycle dealers, etc etc ..
) in a sub-folder. I just sync'ed the Contacts folder for her phone and both for mine.
That was when we both had Android phones. My wife has now got an old Nokia 'feature phone' and I use the Nokia SW to sync her phone BUT still use Outlook in the same way (as I have to remove contact pictures from her contacts.

So, you do the maintenance on her phone and she doesn't have to learn Outlook? Sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try.dvhttn hat geschrieben:IMHO the best way is to use Outlook to sync both phones, not sync the phones with each other. My current problem is I seem to have bought an early Fascinate which has Market rather than Play Store, and Market doesn't work. Consequently, I'm dead in the water... can't DL the MPE client to her phone

Get the MPE apk from here ... http://www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk ... can't remember how to install an apk without having MPE on the phone but there are plenty of forum post elsewhere that tell you how (try Android Forums or xda).jag_man653 hat geschrieben: ...
