Small issue when trying to use MFE to write or copy contacts from phone memory to the USIM card it produces an error.
I also tried writing to the USIM using a card reader but that also came up with an error 'SIM locked'
Allows you to create in MFE but when you sync you get error message;
In the phones (K800i) security settings I have disabled USIM PIN protection so PIN1 is greyed out however PIN2 is still active and does need a password which I have entered but still cant disable it.
I copied this from the card reader web site which would explain the problem in part
"The reason SIM Manager asks it is because you attempt to write to the FDN section - fixed dialling numbers. To write to that section you need PIN2."
I don't think it has todo with the PIN-Codes. The K800i and the most newer phones have a buggy SIM-Interface implementation. I also had this problems on my K800i. You can try it with another (older) phone if you want.
Basicly its not recommened to use still the SIM-Storage. The fields are very limited. If you want to make a backup of your contacts on the SIM then you can do this inside the phone.
The SIM-Phonebook is not locked by any PIN. f.e. the fixed dialing numbers (Storag FD) is protected by SIM. Maybe if you post the logfile after the errormessage then i can tell you the reason for the error.

I dont seem to be having much like with mobiles or cordless, just received my third replacement set of Motorola D802's which are supposed to be renowned for their sound quality - not mine though, loud hissing in the earpiece driving me nuts - cant send them back again as they keep saying the ones returned are ok?
