Hello.
After applying SP3 to WinXP MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.0 did not start. It finished during "Loading interface..." without any error message.
Then I uninstalled MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.0 and installed MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.1.
MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.1 finished also during "Loading interface...", but now application error message (memory access violation) was issued:
"The instruction at ... The memory could not be "read""

Trouble using MyPhoneExplorer after patching WinXP with SP3
Hello.
Thanks for the hints.
First I tried to delete the databasefolder of MPE (%appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer). It helped to make MyExplorer running, but after creating new %appdata% folder the error poped up again when I started MPE next time.
Yes, I am the local admin. I will continue with second hint concerning DEP.

Hello.
Sorry for later answer.
I have two news: good and bad one:-)
Good news is that MPE works again for me fine now.
Bad news is I do not know the reason.
The changes done to my computer were:
1. applied MS hotpatch for MS IExplorer
2. applied pack of MS Office hotpatches
I can not imagine any link between those patches and MPE...
However from my (stupid user's:-) ) point of view, the issue can be closed.
Best wishes to you for New Year 2009!
