A simple suggestion for the Appointments and Tasks panes of the Organizer: maybe the View button could be relocated to the left of the various view dependent (editing) buttons, so that it would stay in the same place after each click?
Maybe this button jumps around intentionally to stop me pressing it too often, or maybe "chase the button" is a built in game ? |

@bbstrikesagain: MyPhoneExplorer does not read the whole calendar from Google and also not from outlook. Only the changed events are read. There will be no option as you like it to switch the sync-targets easier. Thats my decition.
I'll think about the position of the View-Button in the organizer.
@Gast: Its already possible to import the backupfiles. Just use rightclick->Import/Export->Import... in Phonebook, Organizer and SMS Archive. |

First, archive for all menu (especially organizer and calls), not just for message
I think it will be usefull for someone that like to keep all information in the past
For example to remember when does we meet someone last time.
Second, a simple J2ME app to backup the messages while we cannot reach MPE.
For most of people, 200 messages storage is just more than enough.
But in my country, when people prefer to messaging than doing a call, it was far from enough.
I installing MPE on my office PC, always bring the USB Cable in hand,
and even putting the driver and MPE Setup in my phone storage.
All of this to prevent me from being run out of message storage. |

1) If you want to archive apointments or contacts then use Outlook or another PIM-App. A seperate Archive for all typs is not needed. It just makes the app more complex.
2) The idea of a J2ME-App which makes also a backup or archive on the phone makes for me no sense. Inbetween you can save thousands of messages on the phone. The 200 Message-Limit is only for old phones. Besides this i am a PC-Software-Developer. I never wrote a J2ME-Application. |

whoaaa... thanks for the fast response
i even didn't finish to edit my post when you reply
1) Actually i never use thus kind of application, so i didn't know that it can do the job.
I just thinking that if you can use one app for many task, it would be great.
Yeah, but you are right, it will make the app more complex and even called bloated software.
I like the now MPE, lightweight and do the job well.
2) For me, it makes sense since i'm using an old phone
I regret that you couldn't make it.
But since you are not specialized in J2ME App, what can i say
however, i would to say thanks for the fast response
and for creating this great software |

You can control MyPhoneExplorer throught commandline. A addin-Interface is not planned (strategic reasons) |

Many people leave MPE running maximized in background. It is very unfortunate that it doesn't reconnect using bluetooth being in minimised state. I don't mind it displaying 'reconnecting' dialog and freezing for that time. That's a fair price to pay for staying up to date with inbox content. You do realise that now all people have to minimise MPE just to let it reconnect and keep messages updated? Not everybody want it to run minimised. One added option in settings could change that behaviour.
What do you think about it? |

This i not a optional task. cause MPE trys to reconnect every 10 seconds the program would be freezed the most of time. |

Not a problem - the time delay could be configurable in settings. |

When making a call where the recipient happens to be busy the "Call monitor" dialog disappears and a message is displayed in the taskbar saying that the recipient i busy.
Since the "call monitor" is no longer visible I can now not hang up the call without actually pushing the hang-up-button on my physical phone. This is of course a small but still very annoying problem.
If the "call monitor" would still be visible or if there is some other convenient way to hang up the call it would be appreciated.
Otherwise thanks for an excellent software. |
