Currently MyPhoneExplorer loads all messages on one step. The only filter which can be set is to load only the inbox, but even then i think you have more than thousand messages in the inbox. A filter similar "the last 100 messages" is not supported from the phone - i would already implement it if this would be possible.

No, cause i don't think it makes sense. Its just another thing wich makes the user think "why this happens this way". What about decreasing your message-amount in the phone ?

How about using snail mail instead of SMSes?

I'm sorry but this doesn't make any sense. Phones limits are pushed forward. Todays inboxes have almost unlimited message count. Buying phone with huge inbox and keeping number of messages low just to make sync shorter is ridiculous.

Snail mail is when you write the letter and put it into an envelope and post it.

Well, I must say I do this now - i wonder 'why this happens this way', why it is loading all messages just to see the inbox messages. Very, very confusing.

Don't get me wrong as you did in the past. Your software is cool. I'm just trying to point some weak sides.

BTW you could add some usage reporting like some companies do lately - voluntarily reporting of usage through the internet: which functions people use and how often. The report could be send in the background (most often used by companies) or as an email (doesn't scare people).

MPE is brill, and does so many things really well. But one frequent task is cumbersome for me: I sync my phone/MPE calendar to my (work based) Outlook 2003 and to my Google accout. At present this means delving into the settings over and over again just to change which to sync to...

Maybe some sort or drop down or radio button would be a good idea, letting the user easily choose his sync target from the organizer pages themselves? Perhaps mouseover the sync button could display the sync target in the tooltip too?

Note that I'm not requesting a multi target sync as that would be trickier to implement and possibly confusing to use... In my proposal each sync operation would still be to one target, it's just that the target would be visible and selectable from the organizer pages.

I guess similar control over contact sync could be useful, but this is probably used far less frequently.

Then again, could there be a better flow? Would outlook 2003 sync directly to Google, or vice versa? The problem here is that it would mean firing up different applications and GUIs, and it is unlikely that either method would be as friendly as MPE's.

A good idea, will be implemented.
The cross-sync works but in general its not recommened to sync MPE first with outlook and then with Google. So i don't want to force the user to switch always the apps.

You could create a script which changes the sync-setting in the settings.dat and then starts the sync by commandline. So it would be one single click onto the script.

Could You make 'reconnect is disabled as long as MPE is not minimized' optional?

Reconnect is disabled only for Bluetooth when not minimized and i cannot enable it cause the try to connect raises MyPhoneExplorer to "freeze" for a few seconds.

Thanks. Note that too = as well. I hope you're planning to address both ideas - they would work well together. Scripting sounds like a complicated way to do a simple and frequent thing.

Ideally sync direction would be set in settings (not changed frequently) and may be different for Google and Outlook etc... Selection of which sync to do, and tooltip confirmation, would be in the organizer pages.

As i said: I don't want to foce the user to sync with diffrent apps cause it can make problems and its not recommened. But i'll implement the tooltip.

1. when i save sms in archive folder every SMS should archived in contect wasie folder i mean if i have 5 sms in inbox, 3 from jack, and 2 form Mark,
so when i archived the SMS these sms should store in 3 in Jack's archived folder and 2 in Mark's folder. if the both folder are not created the the auto creation of folder should available. and also a
2. remove duplicate sms option in the software.

I wasn't suggesting forcing anything, just making it (a) easier (radio button or drop down list) and (b) clearer (tooltip). I've been using sync with MPE, google and outlook with care and with no problem. I only have to add and understand one application - MPE. Is it really so risky to do both syncs that it must remain inconvenient? Is there a post I should read before I mess up? You said I could do it with scripting, but that seems complex, less transparent, and presumably has bigger risks?

Anyway, the tooltip will be useful confirmation. Contacts and notes could use the same idea.
