G900 SMS Folders

Beitrag von aehlayel »

Hey Everyone,

Thanks to the authors for this amazing piece of code - I dont know how I would be living without it.

I was just wondering about a feature that came to my mind.

My phone's inbox goes crazy at around 1200 SMSs in the Inbox and ~1000 in the Sent folder, so basically, I have to reload my phone everytime I need to check for new messages (it is quite odd and annoying coz you really never know when you receive a new SMS unless you reload the phone manually)

Now as a workaround, I've figured that if I offload some messages from the Inbox to any other folder, it works fine - until i reach the ~1200 in Inbox again, then I have to repeat this all over again.

Here's the thing - MPE doesn't sync any other custom folders (let's say I have an SMS folder in Messaging called "Family" - it won't show up next to "Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Saved Items & Archive (Computer).

Would there be any way in which I could actually see my custom folder in that list so that I can easily sync/copy SMS messages to it or is there some physical/software restriction on having MPE allow viewing/syncing such folders.

This would really make it much more easier to copy the messages from the Inbox to that specific folder (say by filtering out a specific contact name and copying thru MPE than having to select 1 by 1 on the phone itself)

Is there anyone who is facing this same issue in regards to the weird behavior due to the number of text messages?
Is there any alternate workaround/solution for this issue?

Your help is highly appreciated.

The problem is known - and not fixable. The interface to the phone does allow only access to the standard-folders. The only possible way would be to use a client-app on phone which has access to all folders (OxygenPhoneMangager works with this technique)
