Google calender

I have just discovered I can sync google calender with my phone. Huzzar

However is there a way I can not send the phone's calender to google and have to checked each time and visa versa?

Basically I want to have a calender sent to me by work on google and sync with my phone. I don't want to send anything else between each of them. or have the sync say to remove events etc etc.

Disable "compare only changed events" for testing.
Maybe you have selected a write-protected calendar for sync.

I had it ticked, but it is a read-only one as well.

However it still trying to get me to remove events.. should I be in "sync all" or "sync phone>google / google>phone"

I just had a play again and sync with "sync both" means that all 480 events are in google and my phone. which I really don't need

If you have a read-only calendar selected then MPE (and in general you) are not allowed to make any changes in this calendar. Cause of this MPE will force in this case always the sync from Google to phone.

You can:
- select "Never sync in future" for all of this events
- or you add another Google-Calendar for sync so MPE has a place to add the new events from phone.

ahh ok I will do that then and just make it a hidden one. I thought that may be what I had to do.
