Hi,
My time zone is GMT, but the time zone on my computer is GMT+1 (for complicated reasons).
I'm syncing my Google calendar with my phone and in both the time zone is GMT.
However, when I sync with Google, the times are changed so they are correct for GMT+1.
How can I prevent this?
Thanks,
Daniel |

If you change the timezone for your calendar in Google it should work. Please note: Google has a general Timezone-seting and also one for each calendar. |

Thanks for getting back to me.
I checked but both time zone settings are fine in Google.
This worked fine with all previous builds - has something changed in the most recent build?
Thanks,
Daniel |

For the K800i has nothing changed in the latest build. But you should know that MyPhoneExplorer does not calculate the timezone in Google. So it should work if you set Google to GMT+1 |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused though.
If I change the timezone in Google, then I'll have to take that into account when I create an appointment in Google, so that it appears to be the correct time in my phone. I think I'll just get confused.
How does MyPhoneExplorer calculate the time? It seems to translate the appointment times from Google to the time zone on my computer, but then not translate this to the time zone on my phone when it syncs the appointments to the phone.
Is there any other way of setting this?
Thanks,
Daniel |

Zitat: | How does MyPhoneExplorer calculate the time? |
The time from Google is not calculated. Google sends the data as its shown in Googles calendar. The PC-Timezone does not matter for MyPhoneExplorer (in combination with K800i). For the sync between MPE and phone MPE reads the current timezone/daylightsetting before every sync. |

I've just synced on another PC which is set to GMT and it works fine.
Somehow MPE is using the setting on the PC to adjust the times coming from Google, but then doesn't adjust them for the time on the phone.
An unusual use-case I guess - I have a workaround so no worries.
Thanks for your help,
Daniel |
