Hi,
My time zone is GMT, but the time zone on my computer is GMT+1 (for complicated reasons).
I'm syncing my Google calendar with my phone and in both the time zone is GMT.
However, when I sync with Google, the times are changed so they are correct for GMT+1.
How can I prevent this?
Thanks,
Daniel
Time issues
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I'm a bit confused though.
If I change the timezone in Google, then I'll have to take that into account when I create an appointment in Google, so that it appears to be the correct time in my phone. I think I'll just get confused.
How does MyPhoneExplorer calculate the time? It seems to translate the appointment times from Google to the time zone on my computer, but then not translate this to the time zone on my phone when it syncs the appointments to the phone.
Is there any other way of setting this?
Thanks,
Daniel

The time from Google is not calculated. Google sends the data as its shown in Googles calendar. The PC-Timezone does not matter for MyPhoneExplorer (in combination with K800i). For the sync between MPE and phone MPE reads the current timezone/daylightsetting before every sync. How does MyPhoneExplorer calculate the time?
I've just synced on another PC which is set to GMT and it works fine.
Somehow MPE is using the setting on the PC to adjust the times coming from Google, but then doesn't adjust them for the time on the phone.
An unusual use-case I guess - I have a workaround so no worries.
Thanks for your help,
Daniel
