I have been using VIPRE from SunBelt Software (http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/VIPRE/). It runs every evening at midnight and has been working great. Last night for no apparent reason, it deleted all of my MPE installation exe files. The program files were not touched, just the downloaded installation files I have collected over the years. For example, VIPRE deleted MyPhoneExplorer_Setup_1.7.3.exe.
Specifically, it named "NSIS Media" as the risk name and described Adware as the risk. I have no reason to believe this so I excluded the installation files from my VIPRE scans but thought I should mention it here.
Edit: I sent the installation files to SunBelt for analysis and restored them from quarantine. VIPRE is pretty nice software but this is ridiculous! I will watch very closely from now on what VIPRE is doing to my computer!
