Message encoding does not changes to USC2

Beitrag von HojabreShervin »

Hi.
Thanks for this great program.

Everything was perfect till I faced a problem since yesterday.
When I type Persian characters message encoding does not changes to USC2 and all Persian messages are sent and received as a lot of question marks.
The received message are displayed correctly on my phone. It seems something does allow MPE to display right encoding.

What is wrong with the MPE?

I am using a P990i with MPE 1.7.2

Any useful helps?

MPE is not fully unicode-compatible. This issue is not fixable, but when you set the system char set to persian it should be display correct (not as question marks).
(This can be found using the search function)

However I don't really know why the message encoding is not display correct (in USC2).

If the message is shown correct in the phone and as questionmarks in MyPhoneExplorer then its a problem with the wrong system-charset as weinbi already wrote.
