Hi all,
Great bit of software but one problem that never seems to go away.
The addresses in outlook 2003 are shortened to fit in the MFE template and doesnt use the 'STATE' field, the end result is they never sync properly and keep requesting to be sync'd everytime you do.
I have tried many work arounds and did a search of the forum but didnt bring up anything similar, i am i the only one with this problem?
Thanks again,
David
Outlook address fields not sync

I think this is a known bug of the phone. Please disable the Sync with Outlook and then try it with MyPhoneExplorer -> if State is empty and City is not emtpy and after the Sync a field is moved then its the known issue of the phone. In this case ensure that the State-Field is NOT empty in Outlook/MyPhoneExplorer.

Many thanks for your reply FJ,
I found a way around the problem, provided you make the changes in MFE to correct the fields then its ok. If you use Outlook it reverts back to misinterpreting the mapping of the fields correctly and asks you each time to re-sync -
A few sheckles on their way to the cause

Cause of the cutoff -> also this is a limitation from phone. Every field for address can hold maximal 25 Characters.
Cause of the repeating sync: Which phone do you use ? If its a newer phone then the next update will help cause in the next Version MPE only caches the data internally (if SyncML is used). In the current version MyPhoneExplorer rechecks the data and cause of this the fields are moving - but basicly its still an error from the phone.
