Only 1 of 3 messages received

Beitrag von SASMAN »

Hi,
People r telling me they are only receiving a part of the message i send- this appears to be the first 162 characters i.e. one text message. character over this are not received...the result on their phone looks like this-

blah blah...158characters....(..)

the (..) is where their message ends, but it should continue.

Looking on the report as msg sends from MPE the status bar looks as thus>

sending msg 1 of 1 (part 1 of 3).

It then states "failed" after the first part is sent, hence the reason I believe the msg is effectively cut short.
Is this a bug within MPE, or a setting I need to change?

thank you for helping me.

There is a setting in the phone if it sends just one message (160 characters) or even longer messages.
Can you send a longer message from phone (without MPE)?

Which phone do you have?

Hi.

Yes I can send more than one consecutive msg bundled together. This can be done on both my phone and using S/E's PcSuite.

My phone is C902 and using MPE 1.7.1

Thanks

Its a bug of the C902 - there is already a pinned thread about the problems with this phone.

Thanks FJ- Its a bug of the C902 or MPE? PcSuite allows it...although PCSuite is rubbish compared to MPE, especially with the constant disconnection issue.

Would it help you resolve this "bug" if i were to bring about logs from PortMon for both the MPE and PCSuite durng msg sending?

Thank you

I got already logs from PortMon. It seems that the phone closes the COM-Port as soon as there is GSM-Activity (if you start a call or if you send a message). This behavior appears only on the C902 - no models before the C902 and after the C902 has this thing. So i think basicly its a bug in the Modeminterface of the C902.

but anyway - if you feel be able to create logs with PortMon with MPE and the PC-Suite then send them to me via email. Maybe i find something which i did not see before.
