Problem archiving SMS

I have more than 3000 text messages in the archive(computer) and when i want to archive the new messages that they are in my phone it takes about to 10minutes, while the program do this is freezee 10minutes =s and how more messages i have in the archive more time takes to archive de sms
what i should do?

My computer:
celeron 2.5ghz 512mb ram with windows xp sp2
i had this problem in 1.6.3 too, and yesterday i downloaded 1.6.5 and the problem continues, but now works more faster than previews version, i remember when i had 100, 200 sms in the archive(computer) works fast, but when i had more messages (a lot) the time i wait increasingly =s

Hmm, i have a 1,71 Dual Core on Vista and i tested the archive with 10.000 Messages. The copy-thing needs on my machine about 5 seconds
