I have written a matlab code for generating picture sms from a 72x28 monochrome bmp file. I import the *.sms file thus created into the message archive and then put it into my phone. I send it from my phone like any other msg. I was wondering if it will be good to have this as a standard feature of MyPhoneExplorer (may be provide an icon in the message window and when selected it asks for the *.bmp file).
Embedded Pictures in SMS is too old that a full support would make sense. The future is MMS - dou you know anybody which sends a picture as SMS ? Everybody uses MMS inbetween
In India, MMS service is offered only at high premium. Even that, only in certain regions. So it is common for usrs to use SMS. In order to encourage their use, Service providers add little, if any, cost to SMS. So I was of the opinion that for such users, this option might be useful.
I will also look into the MMS options you mentioned.
