Slow when save in archive

the process of moving messages in archive is very slow. ( I have 11,011 messages save in my archive) Is there any way to increase the speed..

I have the same problem, firstly I used version 1.6.2, now 1.6.4 and still have to wait for about 10 minutes and barely can use computer while I'm copying messages to archive. Any way to speed it up?

PIV 1.8Ghz, 512+128MB Bravo DDR RAm, Via Chipset...
I use a W200i cell phone.

Still same problem.
Jus check when you have the time. No big hurry. We can live with the goodness that is already there.

The problem is raised cause MyPhoneExplorer searches identical messages in the archive so that no duplicates are copied to the archive.

I have 1569 msgs in my archive. Thats not much I guess!

Also, what parameter of my phone is the 'Power input' in the "Others"-> "Monitor" showing? Is it current? (because the units is 'mA'.)

about 15 secs for archiving one message from inbox. (the number of messages doesn'y make much difference!)
About 22Secs for loading MPE with 'connect on startup' enabled.
About 16Secs for loading MPE without 'connect on startup' enabled.
Im using MPE1.6.4

Just tested it on my PC, i don't know why there is so much diffrence. My PC is a littlebit faster but it should not make this diffrence. Did you relocated the database-folder ? maybe the system is very slow while saving the archive-file ?

I will make the duplicate-check optionional. This should help a littlebit, but it has nothing to do with this that your PC needs 7 Seconds only for saving the file

I didn't move anything. When it's archiving, MyPhoneExplorer.exe constantly uses 100% of CPU.

I don't know, enough free space, defragmented disc, system in quite good condition...
Maby it's time for formating

What's the funiest thing, some programs works faster on my computer than on my friend's Core2 Quad with 2GB of ram o_0

@M: ha ha... happens!

@FJ: I also notice that when we right click 'move to archive' -> 'any subfolder' an additional msgbox askin to confirm 'move' pops up. This confirmation anyway happens after the copying to archive and is consitent with the regular 'direct move' option.

The additional 'move?' pop up is some left over debugging code must be! This is very minor and no need to bother. just an added click for us!

@M: Did you check "encrypt files on the pc" ? This option will raise massive performance-problems on a big archive cause with this option all files are krypted in a very secure blowfish-algo

Especially the Copying of more messages in one swap to the archive should be much faster. Please post the logfile after your tests - i added some logmessages

@Savanth: I tried it out but i could not find the problem. If there are already duplicates in the archive you get a popup if you want to copy also duplicates. After this you'll get a popup if the messages should be deleted in the phone - you can disable this box if you check "Never show this"

I just wanted to re-emphasise that this 'MOVE' msgbox:

1. appears only when you opt for right click in the inbox window and choose a subfolder to archive. Archiving to main folder is no problem at all.

2. appears before the normal pop-up window having the 'Never show this again' checkbox.

More importantly, If you choose 'Copy to Archive' instead of 'Move to archive', in the same right click -> subfolder manner, an emtpy msgbox pops up. AND, even if I do not click OK here, i.e. just close the msgbox, the messages still get copied. Surely, this is unintended!

Nevertheless, your software is fun to use. I just wanted to help in debugging.
