MyPhoneExplorer not Opening on the Phone

Hello,

I have two Samsung phones. One of them connects very easily to the user interface on the computer, even without opening the MyPhEx connecting page. For the other, I have to open the connecting page on the mobile to connect it to the user interface.

Both have been working without any problem, but now the last one does not open the the connecting page on the phone, so it no longer connects to the computer. When I tap the MyPhEx icon to open the connecting page, it trembles, but does nothing.

I have done a few things without success, like rebooting the phone, uninstall and reinstall MyPhEx on the phone. I am aware the problem will probably be on the phone, but maybe someone will have an idea of what might be the source of this issue.

Unfortunately the last update of the app contained a serious bug. I already fixed the issue and i hope the Google Play Store will publish soon. If you do not want to wait then you can install the current beta of the client manually: https://myphoneexplorer-client.en.uptodown.com/android

Further to this (and I am not sure that it's the Android client issue that appeared 22-Jul-2024).. I'm unable to send SMS messages from the PC application since whatever broke.. broke.

Admittedly, I'm behind the game a lot, using Win 8.1 32-bit on PC, using MPE v1.18.14... but when the client broke, SMS also broke.

Installing the Beta hasn't resolved this part of the issue.

I am also suddenly having this issue since a new update on my OnePlus12 today morning. App is crashing. If I use the beta, will I be able to update it with regular PlayStore version or again uninstall and reinstall manually?

I have installed the beta. However when I try to enable desktop notifications on phone, I get a message that this is a "Restricted Setting" and I am not able to switch it on. What is the solution?

Maybe because the app was not installed throught PlayStore. The feature itself is still working - with the next PlayStore-Update it will probably work.

I found the reason. I had to enable Restricted Settings for the app.
I don't want to get call notification or missed call notification. How to turn that off?
Is it possible to just get a notification of who is calling when the phone rings but when the phone is picked up there should be no calling window on desktop and there should not be any other notifications once call has ended?

I installed the beta update (Google Play still doesn't seem to have the 'real' update yet)... and the SMS issue still exists.

To note: An error I'm seeing in the MPE Desktop log file:

21:26:18.31 [RX]: DUMP: java.lang.SecurityException: com.fjsoft.myphoneexplorer.client: One of RECEIVER_EXPORTED or RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED should be specified when a receiver isn't being registered exclusively for system broadcasts

Please test the regular SMS sending and also if the app "MPE SMS Planner" works correct
