After install the ver. 2.0 I experienced some difficulties:
1. A new tool appeared Bookmarks - without any functionality
2. The Contact list reduced the contacts to Google. Previously there were
Messenger, Outlook, Skype, Viber, What's up. All disappeared.
3. The Start Multi-sync link ( under Bookmarks ) unable to establish connection.
Same phone was easily connected by F1 button push.
4. The Other / Monitor window
a. the CPU name is missing
b. the signal quality is missing
c. the CPU activity graph is not showing value, just the time stamp change.
5. The Backup creation produce on the mobile screen a misleading info:
"Use the current folder". It is the continue function to copy files from the phone, rather than a real folder selection option.

2. this has nothing to do with the new version. You can control this behaviour in the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone in "Contact accounts to sync". But its strongly recomended to leave all SocialMedia accounts disabled for sync with MyPhoneExplorer because those contact accounts contain only duplicates

4. Android got more and more restrictive with every Android version. Because of this its no more possible to show those data

5. The text of this dialog cannot be controled from MyPhoneExplorer. Its a System dialog of Android

I am having a problem with an Oppo A74 using Android 10. When I installed Ver2 all that my phone shows after I do anything on the PC (i.e. first action) is a black screen and I completely lose functionality of MPE.
I have had to return to Ver 1.9.

btw this is one of my favourite programs and I've been using it for years

after writing this I thought I should try reinstalling 2.0 and then rebooting my phone (not sure why). I did that and everything works perfectly. Thank you.

Update to V.2 dosn't work

used this program for years and is very satisfied, thanx!

but i'm now trying to update from V.1.9 to V.2 but it stops with this:
Error writing from MyPhoneExplorer.exe
(in danish: Fejl ved skrivning af fil: MyPhoneExplorer.exe
and if i press "ignore" it stops with this:

Error writing from IconLib.dll
(in danish: Fejl ved skrivning af fil: IconLib.dll)
and if i press "ignore" it completes but the version is 1.9

what to do?

I think you are trying to update with MPE running. You should exit MPE before updating.

Yes it worked.
I had a setting that press X in program dosn't close program but minimize
after close program (not minimize) it updated

Hello:

MPE v2.0 ES is installed in standalone mode without problems, congratulations!
However, I think I have found a bug that I think needs to be fixed, let me explain:
The form for adding and editing an appointment has the tab order of the different fields very wrong, as you can see.
The order that I consider logical would be:
Date > Time > All day event >Duration ( Other end time if needed) > Reminder > Subject > Location > Additional > Event > Birthday > Recurring Event > Calendar > OK > Cancel
In addition, there is another added problem, some controls that do not change their presentation when they have the focus to be edited, other controls visually help to recognise them when they are selected for editing by changing the colour of their border.

Anyway, I hope you can fix all these details that will make MPE v2.x a much better product.

Yes FJ, I called it standalone instead of portable in my first intervention, sorry!

The beta works only for the installed version. So you have to wait for the next official update or you have to use the installed version for the update.

I'm seeing the same behaviour with v2.0 as I did with v1.9: calendar entries are shifted by 24 hours. Once again I have had to reinstall v1.8.15.

What came up with the Logfile you sent to FJ?

- Install the latest nightly so we have the same codebase.
- Then run MyPhoneExplorer in debugmode: Windows-Key+R->myphoneexplorer debug->OK
- run the sync
- if the issue is still there then send me the logfile via email and tell me the title and day of some problematic appointments
