MyPhoneExplorer, V1.8.15, is a good product - thanks for making it available.
Two days ago, the program worked fine; however, yesterday, it simply stopped connecting, via WiFi, to my Android phone, V10. To the best of my knowledge, nothing has changed on the phone or in MyPhoneExplorer, and I know that nothing has changed with my local WiFi setup.
When the problem occurred, I power-cycled my WiFi access point and rebooted the phone - neither resolved the issue. However, the phone showed a MyPhoneExplorer client notification. Using a USB cable, I was able to connect to the phone. I was also able to create a WiFi connection to my wife's phone and the WiFi on my phone is working fine. Interestingly, when I went into settings and entered my phone's IP address, it was able to connect via WiFi.
What may have happened, and much more importantly, how can I resolve the issue?
MyPhoneExplorer just stopped WiFi connecting
I face the same problem too, for many many years. But I think I know how to get around it. The problem is just that MPE is too weak in its connection and am not sure if the developer knows about it.
What I do is both PC and HP is connected to the same wifi network and I usually put my phone close to the PC.
If the PC is on VPN and the HP is not, it will not get a connection.
Next, when you run the HP part of MPE, make sure the small icon on top of the phone is rotating and alive. Usually, it will be in blue and rotating.
In order not to get disconnected on the PC MPE, the MPE Client page on the HP must be shown at all times. Do not close it. You can switch screen but do not exit.
This did the trick for me most of the time.
