This is like Xmas topped with a birthday just before easter!
I would really love to see this happen!

I think CardDAV does not make much sence for MPE. Reason is, that MPE is a specialist in syncing all sorts of datasets 1 to 1. Never is a Server involved, never multiple background syncing. Just this is what makes MPE outstanding, essencial, and personal - for me at least.

My2p on CardBook:
A very fine piece of work! Especially import and duplicate handling: Excellent! And while reading a mail, check for free time to meet the sender without calender tab. Great. I want it...

My2p on MPE:
For me, in MPE it is not important to access every vcard field that is defined and synced. That is CardBooks duty, within sence. I am happy to use the UI of MPE as is. No change needed. No extra work...

MyPhoneExplorer does support Cardbook now directly, i just finished the integration in the beta: https://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExpl ... Update.exe
IMPORTANT: You'll need also the - unofficial - Thunderbird addon 3.0.13 for testing: https://www.fjsoft.at/mpe-addin.xpi

After installing the beta and using the 3.0.13 addin you should be able to select also cardbook addressbooks in the settingsdialog for sync in MyPhoneExplorer
