Hello
Why in new versions, the possibility of deleting messages has been disabled !!?
It would be better if you delete the text messages.
Thanks

thank you for the detailed explanation
Downloaded and tried to install mpeclient_1.0.48.apk ( SHA256: C01CF467F689544FA2FEBD57F9811FB25678A19A52909A0503CA5D89C097B410 )
It wasn't possible, "package seems to damaged" is the response in the phone.
Any idea why it fails?
Phone: Doro 8035
Android: 7.1.2
Installed MPE Client: 2.8
Trying to clear mothers old phone from old stuff before migrating to an Xperia 10 V Android 13

I also noticed the following:
- Uninstall the client 2.8
- Uninstall any security software that may be running on your cell phone
Information:
The client 1.0.48 is only necessary to restore the SMS and call list on the new cell phone!
The backup on the old cell phone can be realized with the current client

Thanks, that information about uninstalling the current newer client version helped, nothing wrong with the apk packet and no reason to disturb FJ
And the mpeclient_1.0.48.apk is working.
But with the client unistalled it's some more work to install the older client since that can't be done with MyPhone Explorer so below is a description of how I did.
And I don't have my mothers Doro here anymore so I tested with and older Xperia Z1 Compact
It has Android 5.1.1, MPE client 1.0.73
- Uninstalled MPE Client 1.0.73 using Google Play
And I ended up with MPE Client 2.0 ?? Uninstalled that too.
- Connected to the phone with Xperia Companion and tranfered the mpeclient_1.0.48.apk to the downloads folder on the phone.
- Installed Total Commander from Google Play
- Checked the developer settings to allow installation from other sources.
- Used Total Commander to open the mpeclient_1.0.48.apk and selected Install when asked.
Then It's possible to use MyPhoneExplorer (using 1.9) to connect to the phone to erase old SMS messages from that phone.
