Wifi connection on Samsung Galaxy S9+

Hi -

I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy S9+ to replace my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I have been using MyPhoneExplorer since I got my first Android phone. The wifi connection works fine with the S7 but fails with the S9. So, I'm assuming that everything is OK on the PC side. Is there some setting I'm missing on the S9 side? I am able to connect and sync using a USB cable but not with wifi.

What am I missing?

Just tried again with a hard coded IP address for the wifi connection and this worked. Could it be that the first connection has to be IP hard coded so that the PIN is picked up?

Same problem with Galaxy S10 but Wifi connection doesn't work with hard coded wifi ip too
