Galaxy Note 5 Messages/Conversatons are one-sided

Some of my conversations only show the received side. Why? I tried the f5, but no joy. Whatever shall I do?
I'm trying to install the new 1.8.6 version but get an error message that says "7zip_installer.exe is not a valid Win32 Application". Whatever shall I do?
