URGENT HELP NEEDED!!! SMS archive lost

Hi!

I recently upgraded to MPE 1.6.0 from MPE 1.5.9
I had a huge archive of my SMS in MPE.
When i upgraded, i was able to see my complete archive...however when i restarted the MPE my whole archive was lost and i could not see any SMS archive.
I had created subfolders in the archive...
Please tell me is there any way to restore my archive?

Take a look at C:\Documents and settings\<user>\Application Data\MyPhoneExplorer\<your phone>\SMSArchive.dat. This is the file where the Archive is saved.

Do you have any Backup ?

i have a SMSArchive.dat file there which is 384 bytes in size.

and i have another file in there called SMS_backup.dat which is 69.5 KB however the date of modification for this backup file is April 26th 2007.

what should i do?

I don't know what you have done with the original file or whats happened. MyPhoneExplorer does write the file only if its sure that no error happened inside MyPhoneExplorer so that its near impossible that MyPhoneExplorer deletes the messages without the users permission.

The file SMS_backup.dat were created when MyPhoneExplorer changed the Archive-Format (it was with v1.5.x). You can rename it to SMS.dat - then you will see in MyPhoneExplorer the messages in it.

Thanks for your help...
I can see the SMS till 26th April...
However i lost all the SMS after tat date...
This list was very very crucial for me as i only take the archive of SMS from my gf
and i plan to give her the print out of all her SMS wen we marry....
AM SCREWED...

..i've got the same problem after upgrade myphoneexplorer but i dont have any smsarchive.dat on that location...
help pleaseee...
