I have a Samsung S4. 1.8.6 worked fine with this. Now when syncing contacts (internal phone address book only) with Outlook, no contacts are found on the phone. I have set to force from phone to Outlook which would delete all contacts in Outlook, so I cancelled transfer. SMS, calender etc. is working fine. |

This happens every now and then and MPE asks if I want to upload all contacts from Outlook. Despite saying no, it does it anyway!!!
This gives me duplicated contacts on my phone.
This is resolved by deleting all contacts in phone and then forcing an update from Outlook to Phone.
This means I have to remember any changes I have made to contacts on my phone. Not very good.
I didn't have any issues with 1.8.6
My phone is a Motorola Moto G 4th Gen which was running Android Lollipop and is now on Marshmallow. This issue occurred on both versions of Android. |

At the next sync the problem remains, even when deleting all contacts on phone and transferring them from Outlook.
I tried to revert to 1.8.6 but this does not solve it either.
So I guess the problem is the client in the phone ??
Or new security settings from Samsung - I can't put files on the SD card anymore from MPE, have to transfer to internal memory and then to the SD card. |

I'm using a Motorolla, so maybe an Android/MPE issue rather than Samsung?? |

Maybe so. Although it's puzzling MPE can write the phonebook, but not read it. One would expect it to be the opposite from a security point of view. |

Ever tried to load all entries from phone (blue arrow) before starting the sync process? |

And in the MPE on your computer and in the client on the phone, there are the right settings about which contacts are to be synced?
Can you make some screenshots? |

Fixed! By mistake I made it syncronize the contacts, although it said to copy from phone (where entries turned out blank) to Outlook and now it works every time. So, solution seems to ignore the blank entries and just go ahead. |
