After about two weeks of almost flawless operation, suddenly I get OBEX protocol could not be initialized! OBEX Error: ERROR whenever I try to sync the phone, so at this point I cannot use the program at all.
And yes, I have donated via PayPal as initially I was very appreciative of the software, so it cannot be that;)
I get nowhere with MyPhoneExplorer becasue of OBEX Error

Did you try to stop and start the client app on Android, as well as MPE on the desk top?Gorani hat geschrieben: OBEX protocol could not be initialized! OBEX Error: ERROR
Since I migrated to Windows 10, it seems to me, I also see above error message more often.
I have the impression this happens many times, when a desktop notification comes up coincidentally at the same time the snyc is running. In my case, restarting the client app always solved the problem.

Thank you Wilfried. "Did you try to stop and start /.../ MPE on the desk top?" Yes I did, several times (I have no phone besides my trusty old K530i). But yesterday, pending an answer from you, I simply uninstalled and reinstalled MPE - and voilà! It now it works perfectly again.
I had seen, in Task Manager, that certain processes relating to MPE, were still running despite closing the program and despite reboots so something was not right...who knows what/why - I don't care as it is now running fine again.
"Since I migrated to Windows 10, it seems to me, I also see above error message more often." Well, I am still running Windows 7 as I prefer to let other people be Microdorks unpaid beta-testers of version 10 for a few years before, and if, I switch.
Remember the Vista debacle? I avoided that because of all the negative press and am happy I didn't install it.
Windows 7 is fine with me; the best Windows so far I think, and I began using 2.0 once, and DOS before that...
In the meantime, after MPE conked out and I reinstalled it, I tried the few phone managment programs there are (I was thoroughly done with toy software Sony PC Companion) and I discovered that there is nothing that compares, by even a long shot, to MPE for its many smooth-working features and its well thought-out design
Kudos to you at FJ Software; next time I am in funds I will donate some more. You certainly deserve it.

Thanks for the feedback Gorani and good the problem is solved!
Regarding Windows 10: I agree with you, I also skipped Vista and 8, but the update from 7 to 10 on two laptops was less painful as I thought. Just the "feeling", I have to restart MPE more often than before.
To clarify: I am not part of FJ Software - just a normal user since six months and share your opinion about MPE: It is a great piece of work!
Happy New Year to everybody!
