Backup / Export Query - SE k800i & MPE 1.5.8

Hi all,

I have a question which is probably a bit basic, but wanted to check anyway:

Model: k800i
Connection: USB
MPE-version: 1.5.8
Windows version: XP SP2

I want to export my phonebook in advance of getting a replacement handset tomorrow. I selected all the entries and exported to a .vcf - I only got one 32kb file. I was expecting to see around 300 vcf files.

So, my question is: does this one 32kb file have all my phonebook data in it? (Cos I only see the first phonebook entry in there), or do I need to export each phonebook entry by hand?

Open your 32 kb file in notepad and look at it. I'm sure i contains all your contacts.

If not. Mark all your contacts and select export marked/selected (i'm not sure what it is in english - using swedish)

If you select "Export whole Phonebook" then you'll get one file with all contacts. If you first mark all entries, then select "Export selected Entries" you will get 300 files.

But if you are moving the whole database from phone to phone its recommened to use Extras->Create backup
