Firewall warning on incoming connection requests

Receiving firewall alerts that the MPE program is receiving inbound connection requests. I currently have my firewall set to only allow outgoing connections from this program. As the sync is initiated from the computer and not the phone, I am hesitant to grant incoming connection access. Can anyone advise as to exactly why this program would be receiving incoming connection requests, and if it is safe to allow. Thank you.
