Double contact entries in MPE - but not on phone

Hey folks

Big fan of MPE - nice work!

I have just started to use MPE with my new LG Nexus 4 running Android4.2.2. I first synced my new phone as a new profile in MPE a few days ago. It appeared to sync perfectly the first time. I think it must have been on the second or third sync that i noticed that all my contacts had been duplicated. Strangely, the duplicates only appear in MPE and not on the phone itself.

Anyone able to help me fix this issue?

Its a issue of your phone. Since your phone has no local contact account the Google-Account grabs all "unsynced local" contacts into the Google account. If your phone has no local contact account then change the setting "Add new contacts to..." in the settings of the client to Google. If you want to keep Google away from your data then install a local phonebook account f.e. with the app "MyAccounts"
