MPE Under Linux via Wine?

Has anybody had any success in running MPE under linux using wine?
If not.. does anybody know of a similar project that works under linux?

Yes, there is indeed a topic about MPE under Linux, but it is GERMAN, and many of us (at least myself) don't understand a word of it. Google's translation is rubbish...

Could someone please help out for the sake of Linux users ? translating, summerize, whatever

I tried installing the last version of MPE with wine, and it crashes during the process. I registered the MSVBVM60.DLL by:
- downloading it from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... l?msvbvm60
- copying that dll to my system32 directory in the virtual wine c_drive
- performing

wine regsvr32 MSVBVM60.DLL

But still it crashes during install.

FJ, could you in any way release a zip archive of the last version of MPE, other than exclusively a binary setup exe ?

Any help would be greatly welcomed

Hi!

You won't be able to run the newest version of MPE under wine. Try version 1.3.3 or the zip-Archive (http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_wine.zip), which contains a version without the SPout.dll. This dll is reason for most problems under wine.
Unzip the Archiv, copy the folder under "program files" of wine, register all dlls manually by using the following command.

Please write an entry if it worked or not! If not, what tells the command line??
