BUG - MPE disappears from icon tray

Beitrag von blutarsky »

Sometimes MPE's icon disappears from tray. So it looks like it's not running. Then you start menu again the program and you can see MPE zooming back from icon tray.... is it normal?

It is not normal, i think you have a wrong setting on your PC. Do you know the feature "Hide inactive symbols from Tray" ?

Yes I do! It's not a problem of hidden tray, 'cause even if expanding the hidden icons there's nothing left. Problem is that it doesn't happens always....Don't worry it's not a big issue

Bump!

I have exactly the same problem. I'm gonna check out if it has something to do with starting the program automatically with windows.

Okay, apparently I had the entry to start MPE automatically set in the registry.
As soon as I switched it to the regular Startup folder in Start/Programs, the tray icon worked again after the next reboot.

Noch mal auf Deutsch für die Verantwortlichen

Ich hatte den Autostarteintrag für MPE in der Registry, nicht im Autostart Ordner unter Start/Programme. Nach dem Wechsel und Reboot ging es sofort wieder.

I am using a notebook too, sometimes I hibernate it, sometimes I shut it down, sometimes I put it in standby. Since I switched from the registry to the startup menu, it works no matter what.
