I have an issue where the computer won't connect to the phone reliably. I can usually get round it by changing the connection setting to anything other than “AutoDetect”, retrying (it fails) then change back to AutoDetect and it suddenly works.
How do I tell which method it has connected by when in AutoDetect mode? If I can find that, I can troubleshoot that one method rather than have to guess which one to do.
I’ve already given up on USB cable as it locks my PC (disables USB keyboard and mouse) after a random length of time.

Autodetect is just a series of connection types. MPE will try on Autodetect first WiFi, then fixed IP, USB and Bluetooth. Thats all - nothing special
Please post the logfile after you had problems due connection and after Autodetect. And restart your WiFi Router!

seems to be an issue with bluetooth ... if I turn off bluetooth and set MPE to use wi-fi only, it's working 90%+ of the time.
the bluetooth dongles I have tried are a few years old, so suspect I need a "windows 7 compatible" one.
thanks anyway for the reply.
