1.8.3 - bug? - it's seeing my Xperia X10 as a 'new device'

I just upgraded MPE on my PC and on my phone, so it's now 1.8.3. I have always used MPE with my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 without problems, but since the update, when I click on 'connect' in MPE on my PC, it leaves my account named:

Sony Ericsson X10i [012379003407347]

which is the account I've always used, and brings up the dialog box saying please enter a name for the new device which it says:

SEMC Xperia X10 [012379003407347]

The number after the name is the same (not sure what this number is however!) so surely it should still work? It's really annoying, as I can't even create a new account and then 'restore' all of my MPE data from my other account to the new one - selecting 'restore backup' does nothing.

Any ideas?

This has nothing to do with MyPhoneExplorer. Cause of a firmware upgrade of your phone the Model-ID was changed. Why you want to restore data from the other account ? The data are already on the phone and they will be loaded into the new profile.
