Cannot see Thunderbird Sync option

I cannot get the Thunderbird Sync to work, the only options are MPE Only and Outlook Express. I tried installing Thunderbird to the default directory without success. What do I need to do to get Thunderbird Sync working? I'm using Thunderbird 2.

TB-Sync only works with the newest version 1.5.5

but for the calenader and the "to do" list I see only MyPhoneExplorer and I didn't see Thunderbird. Why?
I have the 1.5.5

Thunderbird-Sync works only with contacts.

I'm using the latest Thunderbird (v2 alpha). Is there a way to enable this version in mpe for testing? How does it know what version to look for, is it based on the default thunderbird installation path or a registry key or both?

Also, I know it works only with contacts (addressbook) - but the Sync page in mpe settings shows OE and mpe only, I'd like to be able to find out how i can make mpe use tb2 - I'm willing to test and send debug logs if necessary.

I can't see thunderbird either, I use thunderbird portable!
