Wfi connection

I am using this with a Galaxy S on ATT. It worked so well the first time I used it, then it quit. I finally remembered that I had locked down my network using WPA2. On my system anyway, it will only work if the wireless network is open. I will not connect by usb or wireless if the security is enabled.

What about WEP-Protection ? My phone (X10) has also problems to connecting a router with WPA2

No problems so far with WPA2 encrytion between Fritzbox-7170 and GalaxyS (Froyo-JPO).

What's about the routers and handys firmware? Newest?

I have not tried it with WEP. And I do not have 2.2 Froyo. My phone is the ATT Captivate and they have been slow about updating to 2.2. My solution is to have two wifi profiles and use the open profile when I want to update. Maybe it will be fixed when 2.2 comes along. I love the phone but I wish I had bought a blackberry or waited for win7 because I need business apps instead of the other entertaining products Android offers.
