Well now MPE doesn't want to start.... I tried reinstalling with the debugUpdate version you posted, but it's the same...
Here's the debug log:

Run-time error '372'

I finally can see what was behind the splashscreen:

"Run-time error '372':

Failed to load control 'Phone Book' from . Your version may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your aplication."

And then I hit OK and it shuts down by itself...

I have been using MPE 1.7.2 for ages with no problems on my work PC. This week I have installed Orcad PCB design software and license managers, and now MPE no longer starts. I get the initial splash screen then it hangs. I have tried reinstalling the software, but can't attach a logfile, as it hasn't created one !

After the 5th attempt to restart it, it gave me a logfile. Not much in it though.

When I check in task manager (Win XP Pro SP3), it shows as running. If I end task, I get a window appear saying CCRPUCW (Not Responding) in the top, but the text disappears, as the windows error report box appears on the top of it.

Please take a look at this FAQ. You don't see a Windows-Setup but the behavior and possible solution is the same.

Hi,

I'm using MyPhoneExplorer since almost one year to sync datas between my HTC and my PC (windows 7 64 bits).
It was working very well.

Since a few weeks, when I launch MyPhoneExplorer, it crashed most of the time (and I cannot sync my datas...)

I sent you the log details.

Thank you very much for your reply and for your help.
