yes!
At point Register SPort.dll it stops.
Tested it with my notebook - works!
With my girlfriends computer - works!
only with my computer it hangs!

tested also version 1.6.7
there it stops when registering ShellMgr.dll!

is it possible to register the dll's manually?

hope that there is a solution! Can't wait for using your great software!

ok so there isn't any solution yet?
why he doesn't use the regsp.exe which is included in the installation?
tried to copy the dll folder of the installation on my laptop and register all included dll manually! but i haven't found the sport.dll in the installation directory! (my foult it's in the system32 directory)
So maybe you could explain/tell me the installation order after registering the dll so maybe i can produce the installation by myself!

Ok, if I kill regsp.exe process from task manager when the installer hangs it will continue the installation...but myphoneexplorer does not start (the process appears in task manager though).

You can try to use another program to register the dll in case regsvr32 also hags (as it does in my case), and see if it works for you.

Now I will have to figure out why myphone explorer doesn't start...maybe restarting my pc...I'll let you know...

Nothing...I can see MyPhoneExplorer.exe process in task manager but I don't see any errors...

thanks for the possible solution eponymous but it doesn't work!
tried to register with regsvr32.exe & regsp.exe (there was no error but it doesn't work)
got the same status - when i start MPE it's in the task manager but nothing happens - no error msg!

now i got a new status! ;)
installed it with eponymous solution and tried to start it!
after watching the connected dll's with process explorer i tried to start it again!
after that i got a window which shows the following Message:

Code: Alles auswählen

Serial Port ActiveX Control is not registered on this machine. If you want to use it you need to register it now.
But i don't know with which values (there are fields for name and code) i have to register it! Does this anyone know? Tried it with random values but that doesn't work!
Got the error:

Code: Alles auswählen

Run time error 429 You don't have the appropriate license to use this functionality!
Do you have a license for this FJ? i hope you'll provide me your license key for testing this stuff! maybe this is the solution - hope so!

Just so everyone knows, I had this same problem.
Even though I have administrative rights, I had to log in as Administrator explicitly, then it installed with no problem.

FYI I believe the original place I found this information was here:
http://myforum.lasyk.net/showthread.php?p=295682

He logged in as Administrator to register SPort.dll.
I simply installed the whole program as Administrator.
