Editing calendar entries in My Calendar crashes on phone

When I try to edit a synced calendar entry in the 4.4.2 Kit Kat calendar on my Nexus 5, the calendar application crashes. No changes can be made on the phone. I sync to a local Calendar called My Calendar on the phone.

Does the calendar app work again after you deleted the event via MyPhoneExplorer ?

Hi, I sent the crappy Nexus 5 back so I do not know if the issue was resolved. Editing calendar entries on my Galaxy S4 is working.
