phone formatted and now cannot restore old backup

hi all

my phone was restored to factory settings after some hardware was changed by the phone company when i faced an issue with it.
Now i cannot connect to the old user in the software as i get a error connection to phone cannot be established. Failed to obtain the IP - address of the phone.

On reconnecting the phone a new user was created but there is no data which i can restore.

i need to connect to the old user account to restroe the data but ts not possible..... Plz help

As they changed the HW, the main board I'd guess (?), then the IP will have changed so any computer equipment will see it as a new device. I would connect as a 'new' user then 'search' the forums for how to copy your old data in MPE to the new user. I'm sure I've seen it can be done - just never had to do it myself.

The recommened way is:

- choose the old profile in Menu-File-Users
- disconnect all phones physically so that MyPhoneExplorer is not able to connect to any phone
- choose Menu-Extras-Create backup
- you'll get an errormessage and MyPhoneExplorer does ask if he should create a "Offline backup" -> Yes
- connect the new/repaired phone
- restore the backup via Menu-Extras-Restore backup
