I have been looking for an Android calendar that would allow the setting of Categories for appointments. DejaOffice appears to be one of the only options I have found.
That being the case, I would prefer to use MyPhoneExplorer to sync this with Outlook if possible as it has for years with "My calendar." When I go to the Sync setting and Calendars to sync, DejaOffice is listed and I've even set DejaOffice as the calendar to "Add new events to."
However, when I sync nothing is being synced between DejaOffice calendar and Outlook.
Is this not possible even though it shows in the sync settings as an option?
If not, is there another calendar that has an option for Categories?

Did you enable the sync to Outlook in the PC-Software ? Menu-File-Settings-Sync...
Please note: Even if DejaOffice may have any solution for categories - the native Android calendar database has no categories field so MyPhoneExplorer will NOT sync the categories.

Yes, I have been syncing Outlook with my Galaxy S3 for quite some time. I also added the DejaOffice Calendar to the list of Calendars to Sync and even selected DejaOffice in the "Add new events to" field.
I kind of thought I might still be missing categories with this setup. Too bad Google doesn't see fit to take advantage of this feature.
