I've been using MPE for over a year and, overall, have been very pleased. There have been two issues, however, that I'd like to have some help:
1. In my Outlook 2003, I have several dozen past appointments that I save because I need some information about their date and location. From time to time, MPE chooses some of these appointments, and, while syncing, submits them for deletion. I have no clue why it happens, and why these particular appointments are selected.
2. I have one ongoing appointment that never syncs. The only thing different about it is that the location field contains several associated phone numbers and an email address.
Thank you for your help. |

ad 2.:
During synchronization of appointments there is the opportunity to exclude appointments from actual and future synch. Perhaps you marked this option in a synch in the past. If so, you can reset this setting. Go to Settings --> Synch --> Calendar Advanced ... --> Filter --> 'Reset user defined exceptions'.

I'm aware that, during syncing, I can choose and mark some appointments as never to be synced. That is what I've been doing. I just wonder what causes MPE to select a few of these past appointments from dozens of others. |

Sorry, there must be a misunderstanding. My answer only adressed your problem no. 2. I have no idea for problem no. 1.

I was never aware of any user defined exceptions. But I've followed your suggestion, and will report back the next time that particular appointments comes up for rescheduling. |

1. install the latest beta and try if it helps: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe
2. you mean the appointment is stored in Outlook but it was never added to the phone ? Did you set a syc time range ? |

I installed the beta, and it seemed to have resolved the issue with the one appointment that never got synced properly.
Zitat: | 2. you mean the appointment is stored in Outlook but it was never added to the phone ? Did you set a syc time range ? |
No, these appointments were stored both in Outlook and phone. No time range was set. It doesn't happen every time I sync (daily), but from time to time, MPE picks several past appointments and offers me to delete them. There is no reason I can think of why it happens, or why those and not some other appointments are picked. It just happens, seemingly randomly. |

FJ, I have a bit more information pertaining to odd behavior of MPE, on its own, choosing old appointments for deletion. During the June 26 sync, two appointments, dated 6/12/12 and 6/21/12, i.e. almost exactly one year old were offered to be deleted. These appointments existed in the phone, but not in Outlook. In many prior syncs they're never offered to be synced. Neither these appointments had any special time limits. There are quite a few other appointments, at about the same time, older and newer, but, for some reason, only these two MPE offered for deletion.
What may be causing this? |

Do you know if they were already in the calendar of MyPhoneExplorer before sync ? Please press the second button in the calendarview of MyPhoneExplorer (Download entire) to ensure that MyPhoneExplorer has all data from the phone. Which options do you get in the sync window ? Delete/Add/Never sync or Delete/Leave in phone ? |

Did the "Download entire" and it reported the same number of records.

Delete in phone.
P.S. It happened again today with seven records, all from about a year ago. |

Do you have enabled the option "Compare only edited appointments" in the sync settings for Outlook ? If yes -> disable this option |

Did you mean "Compare only changed events"? If so, yes, it was enabled.
P.S. Aug. 29. I disabled it as you suggested. Still, a year old appointment saved on the phone popped up for deletion. |

Does this appointment still exist in Outlook and if yes - does it exist n the right calendar which is selected for sync with MPE ? |
