Newly made photos

Beitrag von Fréderique »

Hi,

I just used MPE for the first time and I'm soooooooo happy that I can finally copy my text messages to the pc without having to type them (which was such a lot of work). THANK YOU guys, for enabling MPE, I'm really grateful!

Just one question for now: I did find my photos that were stored on the phone but I couldn't find the pictures I took just yesterday. Where can I find them?

A big kiss to all of you! :D

On the phone the standard path is
\Speicherkarte\DCIM\100ANDRO\*.*

In MPE one will find the PC path in
| settings | extended 2 | folder for foto-sync

Hi Harald, thank you for your response.

I found my newly taken photos in Windows Explorer (after connecting my phone of course) under Memory Card>DCIM>100ANDRO so I can copy them from that location to my photo folder in Explorer.

I couldn't figure out your suggestion via Settings>Extended 2>Folder for foto-sync. Found it but couldn't find out how to download them.

I finally downloaded them in MPE from Files>Memory Card>DCIM>100ANDRO. Any comments on that solution?

Question: to make it simpler for me, am I allowed to change the name DCIM into e.g. new photos?

Two suggestions: Settings is found in File>Options. As a newbie I had to search for that, so it might be handy to mention that in the future. :)

There's a bad spelling error in the Dutch Settings. Under Synchroniseren it says "als u gegevens met een ander programma synchroniseerd". This should be "synchroniseert".

Thanks so far!

The settings for downl. pictures is in
file | options | Multi-Sync | ...

NO!! This is standard in all cameras or phones - as I know.
The android would'nt use the folder "new photos" but would create a new DCIM folder.

I think you just did not start the photo sync to download the photos automatically. Its the second button in the toolbar of the filebrowser. You can also enable the photo sync in the "MultiSync" settings so that MyPhoneExplorer will sync contacts, organizer and photos in one step.

I fixed the spelling issue of the translation, many thanks for your information.

Althought it's a bit late (so many things to do): Thanks, Harald, for further explaining and thanks, FJ, for your suggestion. I can find the photos easily now.

As I returned to the forum after a while I couldn't find my posted subject that easily. Is there a quick way? I didn't remember what I put as a subject, so I had to search through the whole English section.

And just to let you know: the spelling error is still visible in MPE, but I guess the change is only visible after an update. In case I see anything else in the spelling area, I'll be happy to let you know!

Grüss dich and thank you, FJ, for this great program! :D
