Phones switches to silent

When my android (HTC desire) is connected via wi fi it switches the ring tone off. So I miss phone calls unless I am watching the screen 100% of the time.

After I take the phone out of wi Fi range it does not switch back on again and I miss more calls.

Is there a setting to alter this behavior??

Yes, there is a setting - and you did enable this. Take a look at the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone
