2 basic ?'s about certain MPE 1.8.4 options

I have 2 elementary questions:

1. When I import a CSV file into MPE 1.8.4, there is a checkbox that says "Intelligent import based on contact name". I'm curious what this does.

2. In multi-sync settings there is a checkbox for "refresh call lists." What are call lists (call logs?) and how is refresh different from sync?

I think I figured out the answer to my second question. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but refresh call lists means that any calls in the call log on the phone which are not on the call list within MPE on my PC, will appear in the call list.

I take it that the phrase "call logs" is used in the context of the records of calls made & received, stored on the phone, whereas the phrase "call list" refers to the record of calls made & received, stored within MPE 1.8.4 installed on my PC.

Anybody have a clue as to my first question? Gopher

Call log and Call list is basicly the same. The diffrence between MPE is that the phone does limit this list to 500 items, MyPhoneExplorer can hold alot more items. Resfresh call log loads new items from phone but does NOT delete old items which are available only in MyPhoneExplorer.

Intelligent import means that MyPhoneExplorer will try to avoid duplicates
