Wildfire s - Problem with Restore in 1.8.4

Hi, I backed up four times in the last 2 months but when I try to restore any of the backups it only restores contacts from the letter C onwards...is there a glitch somewhere with the restore function that you know of?? if so do you have a patch?? If not is there another program I can use to import the backup .mpb file so I can recover the contacts and load them back into the phone using htc sync?? many thanks for your help.

Import the backupfile into your contactslist so you see what is really inside the backupfile. Contact list->rightclick->Import/Export->Import...
