Major contacts sync issues after 1.8.4 update

After updating to 1.8.4 I'm having major issues syncing with my MPE/Desire S and Outlook.

First time I run Multisync all is good (usually) and sync's as set. Next time Multisync is run (it's set to sync on open) it states there are no contacts on the phone (despite live gmail sync always on) and asks if I'd like to transfer to Outlook. If I select 'yes' or 'no' it makes no difference and it proceeds to delete all contacts in MPE and nothing changes on the phone. Any subsequent Multisync's I have to tell it to force Outlook to the Phone each time.

I know I can set it to do this automatically but the idea is I want to be able to change contacts in whatever environment I'm in; Outlook, MPE, phone or Gmail and then they all sync together. I had this set-up running beautifully before 1.8.4.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Update: When I installed 1.8.4 it also instructed me to download the latest MPE User Agent from Google Play which I duly did. I then discovered all the various issues mentioned above.

I've now uninstalled 1.8.4 and reinstalled 1.8.3 and tried Multisync again but the issue is still there. So it looks like the issue seems to stem from latest MPE Client on Google Play.

I installed 1.8.4, and just couldn't get my Xperia S to connect. I removed it, and reinstalled 1.8.3, and everythings normal again!! My Client version is 1.0.21

I had the connection issue with 1.8.3 but setup COM12 Bluetooth port and it connects on that perfect every time and also the same with 1.8.4. My client is also 1.0.21. It's the syncing issue that's bugging me.

@JuJigsaw: Did you have the issues with the WiFi connection ? If yes, i think there is a bug in 1.0.21, please test the current beta of the client and tell me if its fixed: www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk
