Running into more than one issue:
1 - Tried USB, but the Galaxy SIII does not seem to give the option to stay in "charge" mode and NOT link to the computer. It seems to support doing both at once. The only options during a USB session with the computer are storage mode or camera mode (tried both for grins). USB diagnostic mode is enabled, and the MPE Client on the phone recognizes that but the computer side fails the link.
2 - Tried WiFi. The computer finds the phone and communicates up to the point of prompting for the PIN but then experiences an error (only seen in the log) and the MPE computer application either spontaneously unloads without notice OR Win 7 recognizes that MPE is unresponsive and prompts the user to allow the OS to unload the program.
3 - I have to manually create a profile directory. Until a profile directory is created, there is no option to create a new user and sync settings can not be saved. After the profile directory is created, it may be used to save settings but the Add User option crashes after the PIN is entered (seems to be related to issue 2).
I tried both MPE 1.8.1 and 1.8.2.
We are using two Samsun Galaxy S Fascinates on two other computers with Win XP successfully.

Syncing Samsung Galaxy SIII and Win 7 Issues
Are you using latest adb-drivers? You need at least version 1.5.5.0 for S3.

The lack of connectivity with USB appears to be resolved with the new Samsung USB driver. Thanks.
However, the application still crashes. The only change is that USB connections crash in the same manner as an authenticated (pin) WiFi connection.
As the connection and sync start, the following error appears:
It ends with the error window updated to this:
Had to get the contacts downloaded for today, so tried Keis and it works for Android ICS on the S3!
If there is something else to try with MPE I'll take another shot at it at the end of the week...

I just realized that I never mentioned that we are trying to sync/multi-sync with Outlook 2010.
The Win7 is 64 bit and has all the "important" updates from Microsoft.
