Hi,

first way is to backup all data from old profile and then restore into new profile,
second way is to mark all SMS in list view from old profile, then export selected and import into new profile.

best regards...

Hi, I have done something like that before when changing phones but I can't see how that works when changing PC's!
I have the MPE loaded on the new PC and its working fine the only thing missing is archived SMS messages. Where are they stored and can they be transferred to the new PC, what files do I have to copy over and will I need to restore them?

Phone is the same---- its the PC that is changing.

Have tried to export all archived SMS's and MPE locks up is there a max to what can be exported in 1 go or do I have to do 1 archive file at a time?

Sorry did read wrong.
But you should also be able to restore the SMS archive from an old backup to your new PC. You also can import SMS from a backup if archive was included in the backup.

If you still have access to your old machine, the files are in a subfolder under %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer (SMSArchive.dat).

best regards...

Finally I've done it :-) through export and import but there must be a limit to the number of messages that can be exported at one time. had to do it in sections one file at a time.
